Broodwing Guide

Patch notes, 21 to 31 October

CHECKED 2026-11-01 · Data

Quick answer

Four dated content drops landed in Broodwing's first eleven days: launch on 21 October, ducks on the 24th, barn owl variants on the 28th, and Black Swan with a late build on the 31st.

Roblox games do not ship numbered patches the way PC games do: the game page shows a "last updated" timestamp rather than a version string, and the studio posts changes through the store and the game itself. This page reconstructs Broodwing's version history from those timestamps - what landed, in what order, and what a player would have noticed.

The build order

Date (2026)Build or contentWhat a player noticed
21 October, 18:59 UTCLaunch buildThe game opens; the valley, the loop and one pass are live
24 OctoberDuck updateTwo duck passes appear at 250 R$ each
28 OctoberBarn owl updateTwo owl passes appear at 350 R$ each
31 October, 23:42Black Swan passA sixth pass appears with no price shown
31 October, 23:47Latest buildThe game is rebuilt five minutes after the swan pass goes live

That is the whole public record: two dated content drops in week one, one in week two, and a late-night build at the end of week two. Everything else about the game - the loop, the prey, the server size - has been stable since launch.

What the launch build contained

The launch build is the one the official description still describes, and it is unusually complete for a day-one Roblox game:

  • The bird loop: hatch as a chick, grow into an adult, fly, hunt, nest, lay eggs, raise chicks.
  • Two prey types: fish in the water, bunnies on the grass.
  • A valley map with grass, canopy and water.
  • Families: join one, share a nest, raise a clutch together.
  • One pass: the Leucistic Bald Eagle at 450 R$.

What it did not contain: any other pass, a badge system (the game has zero badges), or a code system.

The 24 October duck update

Three days after launch, the store gained its cheapest content: two duck variants at 250 R$ each. The ducks were the first sign that the store would grow one bird family at a time, with prices following bird size.

For players, the practical change was a cheap entry point into cosmetics. Before the ducks, the only purchase was a 450 R$ eagle; after it, a player could change their bird for 250 R$.

The 28 October barn owl update

Four days later, the featured bird got its variants: Melanistic and Leucistic Barn Owl at 350 R$ each. The 350 price sits between the duck and the eagle, which confirms the ladder: 250, 350, 450.

The owl update is also the one that matched the game's name. Broodwing currently displays as "[BarnOwl] Broodwing", so the drop put the store in line with the marketing.

The 31 October night build

The last change in the window is the only one where a pass and a build landed together. At 23:42 the Black Swan pass was created; at 23:47 the game was updated. Five minutes apart, late at night, on the last day of the month.

What the build changed is not published. What is observable is that the swan is the only pass without a visible price, and that it arrived without a second variant - unlike every other drop, which came in pairs.

Reading a Roblox patch note

Because there is no changelog page, the way to track Broodwing's changes is:

SignalWhere to see itWhat it tells you
Last updatedGame pageWhen the build last changed
New passStore tabA content drop, with its own creation date
Name tagGame titleWhich bird the studio is featuring
Pass descriptionStore tabThe only written intent the studio publishes

A change in the "last updated" timestamp without a new pass means a build change you cannot see from outside - a fix, a balance tweak or an internal change. The release timeline tracks those dates; this page tracks what they contained.

What has not changed

Four constants across every build so far:

  1. Prey types: fish and bunnies, no additions.
  2. Server size: 35 players.
  3. Badges: zero.
  4. The loop: the same six verbs from the description - fly, hunt, nest, lay, raise, grow.

If a future build changes any of those, it will be the first time, and it will be worth a row in this table.

How this page stays current

Every entry here is dated and every date comes from Roblox's own records rather than a studio post. When a new pass or a new build timestamp appears, the change goes at the top of the table with the date it was observed.

The practical way to check for yourself: open the game page, look at "last updated", and compare it with the most recent row here. If the game is newer than the table, something shipped after this page's last check - and the game stats page is where the player-count effect of a big patch usually shows up first.

Telling a real change from a rumour

Roblox games attract rumour, and Broodwing is young enough that most "leak" posts are guesses. Three signals separate a real change from a hopeful one.

SignalRealRumour
DateGame page "last updated" movedNo timestamp anywhere
StoreA new pass with a creation dateA screenshot with no date
Name tagThe bracketed featured bird changedA list of "upcoming birds"

The first two are checkable in under a minute, which is why this page only lists changes that have one of them behind them.
